Moving Out

As the academic year draws to a close, we thought it might be handy to share a few helpful tips on things to do before you move out of your shared house.

Clear Out

Make sure you dispose of any perishable items from the fridge, and plan some time to make a trip to the local food bank donation point to drop off any tins or packets you have left over.

Bins In

After your rubbish has collected, take your bins in and leave the area looking neat and tidy.

Switch Off

Unplug appliances and switch off wall sockets.

Keep It Down

If you’re planning to celebrate the end of term, remember to respect the fact that your neighbours have to get up for work, and local children are still studying for the GCSE and A Level examinations. We’ve got lots of helpful information about how to celebrate responsibly on our website.

Sticking Around?

If you are staying in Nottingham over the summer, keep your eye on the blog because we’ll be posting regular updates about what’s going on in the city.

If you’re graduating this summer and leaving Nottingham in pursuit of new adventures, we wish you all the very best. For those of you returning to your studies in September, we’ll be sharing plenty of helpful stuff about living in the community in the weeks leading up to the start of term, so keep your eyes peeled.

If you’d like to ask us any questions about living in the community in Nottingham, you can contact us via our Twitter feed.
