Voter Registration – Moving In Moving On
Today we’re happy to share a message from the Electoral Registration team at Nottingham City Council, who will be coming along to our Moving In Moving On event on Thursday to help make registering to vote in Nottingham simple:
Registering to vote is important. If you don’t, you won’t be able to have your say on the things that matter to you at election time; you might find it difficult to get a mobile phone contract or a loan and you could even get fined up to £1,000.
But don’t worry, it’s really easy. If you visit the City Council stall at the Moving In, Moving On event this Thursday in the Portland Building Atrium from 11am to 2pm, we’ll do it for you! All you need is your student ID.
If you can’t make it on Thursday, just look out for the form you will get through the post and respond online or by post.
You still need to fill out the registration form even if you don’t want to register to vote at your term-time address.
Electoral Registration team is just one of the many teams and organisations who will be represented at Moving In Moving On – so come along on Thursday and let us answer all your questions about off campus life.
