What’s On: Carnivals and Other Summer Fun

For those of you who are still in Nottingham over the summer, we’ve pulled together some information about some upcoming events in the local community. July is filled with fun goings on in Nottingham, so check out the list below and find something that tickles your fancy:

Event: Lenton Abbey Day of Fun
Location: Lenton Abbey Park (just off Woodside Road near Priory Roundabout)
Date and time: Saturday 6th July, 1-5pm
About: There will be a bouncy castle, sumo suits, climbing wall, tennis and football, belly dancing, a graffiti art workshop and much more at the Lenton Abbey Day of Fun – plus the chance to refuel on tea and cakes in the church hall.

Event: Beeston Carnival
Location: Beeston Square from 10am, Summer Fete at Broadgate Park from noon, Parade at 1pm
Date and time: Saturday 13th July, 10-4pm
About: Beeston Carnival is a great day out, with music, stalls and activities running throughout the morning and afternoon.

Event: Dunkirk Community Festival
Location: Dunkirk and Old Lenton Community Centre, Montpelier Lane, Dunkirk
Date and time: Saturday 13th July, 12-5pm
About: There’ll be entertainment and stalls to explore, as well as yummy food to sample at this community festival. Your Off Campus Student Affairs team will be there too, so do come and say hello and collect one of our fuzzy bugs!

Event: Radford Rec Community Event
Location: Radford Recreation Ground
Date and time: Tuesday 23rd July, 3-6pm
About: A chance to have your say about the future improvement of the Radford Recreation Ground – what would you like to see happen to this park which is so close to many of our students’ front doors? Also a chance to take part in some health and wellbeing activities and meet members of the community.
