Grill the Police and Crime Commissioner – Without Leaving The House!

Are you interested in having your say on community safety issues?  Do you want to have a voice in the decisions that are made about policing and crime in Nottingham?

A live web chat with the Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Paddy Tipping, will give you the chance to send your views and questions straight to the top on Tuesday from 7-8pm.

The web chat is aimed specifically at young people – including students – and Commissioner Tipping would like to hear from you on a range of issues including:

  • Mobile phone theft and fear of crime
  • Your experience of nights out in Nottingham
  • Alcohol consumption and nightclubs
  • Social media and policing

Commissioner Tipping hopes that connecting online will be a good way to hear the views of young people – he wants to ‘find out how we can make life better for everyone in our communities’. He is also hopeful that embracing social media and online communication will help to ‘develop a stronger relationship with the public’.

The Commissioner will be joined by Nottinghamshire Police Sergeant Debbie Barton, who specialises in youth issues, and Natalie Robinson, Chair of Nottingham City’s Youth Cabinet.

So, if you’ve got anything you’d like to ask Commissioner Tipping, or if you’ve got some comments or suggestions on policing in Nottingham – get online on Tuesday  19th February 2013 from 7-8pm on the Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner website. You can even register in advance and have a reminder sent to you so you don’t miss the session.

You can follow Commissioner Tipping on Twitter: @NottsPCC or visit his Facebook page.
