Next week is Dietitian’s Week – Congratulations to Dr Fiona McCullough

Next week 9-13th June 2014 marks the World’s first Dietitian’s Week [http://www.trustadietitian.co.uk/dietitians-week/]. This has been organised by the British Dietetic Association [https://www.bda.uk.com/], the organisation who represent UK dietitians. Dietetics is a part of what we do in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Nottingham, being the only university in the UK to offer an integrated undergraduate Masters Degree that leads to eligibility to register as a Dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) [http://www.hpc-uk.org/].

There is more fantastic news at yesterday’s Annual General Meeting of the British Dietetic Association, Dr Fiona McCullough, Course Manager for Dietetics and Associate Professor with Nutritional Sciences was elected as Chair elect, to take up the post of Chair of the Association in 2015. This is a great accolade for the department and especially for Dr McCullough who works incredibly hard for the profession.

To help mark Dietitian’s Week we will post a series of profiles of our graduates from recent years, not only those who graduated from Dietetics, but also some of the fantastic stories from our Nutritional Science graduates.

If you are a graduate of Nutritional Sciences and would like to share your story, please let us know, contact Dr Jonathan Majewicz, Programme Manager for BSc Nutrition (jonathan.majewicz@nottingham.ac.uk )
