Midwife certificate

Certificate of Sarah Bonser, midwife of Colton Basset in Nottinghamshire. It states that she has practised midwifery for ‘several years with good success’ and lists the women she assisted and the numbers of births she attended. The certificate is signed by the Vicar and Churchwardens of Kinoulton, 1726 (Ref: AN/LB 236/1/51)
