Description and illustrations of monstrous sea-dwelling creatures supposedly observed in other countries, including “The effigies of a sea-monster with a mans face” (seen at Antwerp), “The effigies of a sea-devil” (presented to the Pope in Rome), and “The effigies of a monstrous sea-calf”, somewhat resembling a sea-lion or elephant seal.
