Bookplate

Will you uncover a loyal supporter within the pages of your next library book?

Have you spotted one of our new bookplates recognising the University’s most loyal supporters? Sarah Smart, Donor Relations Manager from the Campaign and Alumni Relations Office, visited the library’s Collection Team earlier this year.

Sarah explains more:

“The new bookplates have been created to specially recognise donors who have been giving for 5, 10, 15 or 20 years to the University. These donors have given their support each and every year to support projects such as student scholarships, medical research or even the libraries themselves. They may be giving a gift once a year in response to one of our fundraising appeals or perhaps paying a monthly direct debit.

My role at the University involves building ongoing relationships with our donors, keeping them updated on the projects they are supporting and ensuring the University thanks and recognises our donors’ vital contribution to what we as a University are able to achieve. Through these bookplates we are showing our appreciation to our most loyal supporters.

As well as being a lovely way of saying thank you to these donors, we hope students and staff will also enjoy uncovering their names on the new bookplates.”
