About the Electrochemical Technologies Group (ETG)

Since October 2003, the Electrochemical Technologies Group at Nottingham have seen more than 80 members with 8 academic visitors, 14 postdoctoral researchers, 20 PhD students and ca. 40 MSc/MEng students. The group has gained international reputation with over 100 invited lectures at conferences and special seminars around the world under the research theme of “Electrochemical technology and liquid salts innovation for materials, energy and environment”.

Between past and present members, there are more than 320 academic publications, including over 100 original research and review articles in peer reviewed journals and books, and above 200 presentations at conferences and seminars. Research in the ETG has gained financial support from various state and industrial sources, and is currently funded by the EPSRC, E.ON AG, Season Long Cleantech (China) and the Dean of Engineering Scholarships. The group is also active in collaborations with other researchers within and outside the University. One of the outcomes from these collaborations was on exhibition in the 2010 Shanghai EXPO and is currently displayed in the University’s Technology Demonstrator.
