Celebrating 25 years of Nottingham University Business School
This academic year sees Nottingham University Business School celebrate its 25-year anniversary. We will be marking this milestone throughout the year, with activities with our alumni, a series of events and reflections – not only on the past 25 years, but what our future challenges might look like.
In 1998, the University of Nottingham’s School of Management and Finance was renamed Nottingham University Business School and moved to Jubilee Campus (UK) the following year. In 2000, our Malaysia arm was established and in 2005 our presence on the China campus at Ningbo opened. We now employ over 400 staff supporting more than 7,000 students representing 115 nationalities and the number of Business School alumni is nearly 30,000 as of 2023.
Our tri-campus reach brings a distinctive global awareness and perspective. Our shared vision is to be a global leader in business education and research, shaping the future of responsible business and management in an interconnected world. We aspire to deliver an unparalleled learning experience that transforms our students into visionary leaders and change-makers.
We believe that innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and ethics are essential components of responsible business practice. We are committed to advancing the frontiers of knowledge through ground-breaking research and thought leadership and disseminating our findings to the wider community.
We would like to thank all of those dedicated members of staff both past and present, who had the vision to set us on our remarkable journey and have contributed so much to the success of the School. It is a result of their efforts that Nottingham University Business School is among an elite group of business schools worldwide to gain ‘triple crown’ accreditation from the three most influential accrediting organisations – AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS.
We believe that the Business School has a role in producing responsible leaders with personal values that will positively impact this complex, uncertain, and chaotic world. We look to the future with pride, and with a commitment to advancing the frontiers of knowledge through ground-breaking research and thought leadership, and to disseminating our findings to the wider community.
Our goal is to be recognised as one of the top 50 business schools in the world, renowned for our excellence in teaching, research, and thought leadership. We will leverage our tri-campus, global character to provide a truly immersive educational experience that prepares our students to navigate the complexities of a rapidly changing business landscape.
Whether you are just starting your learning journey with us, are one of our alumni, or a business partner, we would like to invite you to celebrate, connect and engage with us during the coming year and the years ahead.
