An end and a beginning
This is a farewell post. I am retiring from my University position at the end of this week, having joined the staff in 1974 (not 1947, as was said in the blurb of one of my books!) and served for 14,368 days; simultaneously, this blog is being absorbed into the Classics Department’s new teaching and research blog Argonauts and Emperors
I have greatly enjoyed writing this blog over the last year and a bit, and hope you have enjoyed reading it. The new blog will offer a very varied diet from a much bigger range of contributors, of whom I expect to be one from time to time.
Thank you for your patronage and attention!
Please pass on to your techies that the feed at Argonauts and Emperors is broken/unsubscribable … then enjoy your retirement!!!
Hello, David Meadows. I’ve been on to our technical support person about your query concerning Argonauts and Emperors and she says it seems to be working (we have some subscribers…). If you like, you might try again? (It being understood that I don’t want to take up your time, if it still doesn’t work please do feel free to email me and tell me what problem you are encountering, if you would like to!) Best wishes, Richard
Thank *you* so much, Alan, and I hope you will be over at the Argonauts and Emperors blog soon!
