Electromagnetic Magnetic Levitator -EML/Tim Peake/UKSA/ISS Scien

Weightless droplets of water, levitated using the strong magnetic field of a superconducting magnet at the University of Nottingham. Such methods of mimicking a weightless environment in a laboratory on Earth are useful to improve our understanding of how materials and biological organisms behave in the microgravity environment of orbiting spacecraft such as the ISS. Other examples are molten metals. Richard Hill
