PhD/MA Opportunity at Shanghai Jiaotong University

“I’ve recently started my position as Assistant Professor at Shanghai Jiaotong University – rated as one of the top three in China – and one of the main collaborators in the AHRC-funded connected museum project.

Professor Steve Benford and I have been discussing plans for exporting and adapting the GIFT project to Chinese museums, and conducting comparative studies. We are keen to make the latter happen this year – despite the tough battle against coronavirus at present (my best regards and wishes for all of you to stay safe and well).

To this end we are aiming to seek high-potential graduates interested in pursuing a fully-funded PhD or MA degree while helping roll out the project in China to apply to SJTU this month. Application closes on 15th April 2020 for the coming Autumn enrolment. More information can be found here and a link to apply online here. We look forward to hearing from you. Contact  for admin inquiries, or  Yitong Huang for inquiries related to the localisation of GIFT and connected museum projects in China.”
