What’s On? – May 2014
Today we’re looking forward to May to see what’s going on in Nottingham – and there’s plenty!
Event: MayFest
Date: 11am – 5pm, 10th May 2014
Location: University Park Campus
Information: Following five successful years The University of Nottingham will once again open its doors to the local community for May Fest 2014. Come along and join in with the free, interactive activities for all ages and interests. The Off Campus team will be present, running a crafty activity in the Portland Building, so do come and say hello.
Event: Live music at the Malt Cross
Date: From 8pm, 1st, 6th, 13th, 15th, 20th, 23rd and 27th May
Location: Malt Cross, St James’ St, Nottingham
Information: Free live music – see who’s playing when on the Malt Cross website. There’s also a pub quiz every Monday from 8.30pm, at £3 a team.
Event: NEAT 2014
Date: 23rd May – 1st June
Location: Various locations across Nottingham
Information: Nottingham’s world class arts festival offers 10 days of theatre, art, dance, film, music and more.
There will be premieres, pop-ups and performances across the city.
Event: All Quiet In The Weston Gallery
Date: Friday 9th May – Sunday 17th August, Mon – Fri 11-4, Sat-Sun 12-4
Location: Weston Gallery, Lakeside Arts Centre
Information: The First World War in the University of Nottingham’s historic collection will be on display to mark the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War One.
Event: Dr Faustus
Date: Monday 12th – Saturday 17th May
Location: Lakeside Theatre
Information: A production presented by Lakeside and the Nottingham New Theatre.
Event: Architects of Air: Luminarium (Adult’s Only Session)
Date: Thursday 29th May, 5.30-7.30pm
Location: Lakeside
Information: A chance to explore the Luminarium in an adults only environment for only £3.50.
