Keep Your Stuff Safe

‘Keep your stuff safe, don’t give anyone the opportunity’ is the tagline of Nottinghamshire Police’s new campaign to encourage people to look after their personal belongings and avoid becoming victims of crime.

The campaign focuses on mobile phone theft, but reminds you to keep your personal belongings personal and shares the following top tips to help you do so:

DON’T leave your stuff unattended
DON’T write PIN numbers down
DON’T make it easy for thieves

DO only carry cash you need
DO use a PIN or pattern code on your phone for security
DO carry valuables in inside pockets of clothing or bags
DO track your phone with ‘Find my iPhone’ or ‘PREY’
DO sign up for advice and crime alerts on www.nottinghamshirealert.co.uk
