Come and visit Hallward!

Let us tell you why.

Named after Bertrand Hallward who was the first Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nottingham, Hallward is the largest and busiest of our libraries.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff just bursting to help you!

Go on, ask us anything!

A variety of study spaces

Study space

Whatever your study space needs are, you can find the perfect place to work at Hallward. From silent areas to large group areas, we have them all. Check out our bean bags and funky sofas, and grab a Latte in our coffee bar.

10 Minute tours

From Monday, we’ll be offering 10 minute tours of Hallward to show off our lovely library and all it has to offer. Come along on the hour and half hour from 10am-4pm. Meet at the arrow. Sadly Robin Hood can’t be there.

Laptop lockers

New for 2015! Issue and return your own library laptop at our new self-service laptop lockers. Loans are for 3 hours and all you need is your University Card. Staff will be on hand to give you a demo.

Library Ambassadors

Meet some of our team of Library Ambassadors. Just as their red t shirts say, they are here to help you!
