Charlie Laughton

Associate Professor and Reader in Molecular Recognition, University of Nottingham

Charlie is Associate Professor and Reader in Molecular Recognition in the School of Pharmacy. He’s a chemist by training, not a pharmacist, but having worked most of his life in drug discovery and development finds the School, with its broad range of science research, a great place to work (mostly). The majority of his research is concerned with computer-aided drug design and development, however he does not qualify as a computer geek as he has no particular interest in the works of JRR Tolkien.
