Jon Henderson
Associate Professor, University of Nottingham
Jon is an Associate Professor in Archaeology at the University of Nottingham. He has published three books and over thirty academic papers. He is the British Director of the Pavlopetri Underwater Archaeology Project investigating the oldest submerged city in the world and is currently working in the Caribbean investigating the sunken pirate town of Port Royal, Jamaica. It is his belief that in the coming decades, the most exciting discoveries in archaeology and history will come from the sea – essentially that the future of archaeology lies underwater.
