Largest trade delegation from Malaysia ever

We were delighted to be invited to provide a case study for the recent Malaysia Investment Forum ‘Business Opportunities in a Changing Economic Landscape’, held across three days in London. This was the largest ever trade delegation from Malaysia led by the Minister for International Trade & industry, The Hon. Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed and supported by the High Commissioner Dato’ Ahmad Rasidi Hazizi.

Business Opportunities in the Changing Economic Landscape

It was a fascinating event, with a Minister highlighting UK investment in to Malaysia and the opportunities for trade. Michael Charlton, Managing Director & Chief Investment Officer at the Department for International Trade, identified the UK strength’s and collaborations with Malaysia. The Minister was very generous in his praise of the University of Nottingham, its Campus in Semenyih and its 16 years in Malaysia. In particular, the Minister praised the Crops for the Future project which has now opened new facilities adjacent to Campus. The Malaysian Investment Development Agency (MIDA) have been instrumental in the development of the University in Malaysia.

The University had, the previous week, been honoured to host Her Majesty Tuanku Zara Salim on Campus to open a new teaching centre in Her Majesty’s name. This is an example of the support and impact the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus continues to demonstrate.
