Launch of Nottingham Health China
7 September saw the launch of the Nottingham Health China initiative coordinated by the Asia Business Centre. It was a cracking event, well attended by colleagues from the Medical and Health Sciences Faculty, Visiting Scholars, local hospital Trusts and representatives from the China Nursing Association. Professor Richard Hubbard, lead on the initiative, opened the event and presentations on the various aspects of Nottingham Health China were given, to update colleagues but also to open the initiative to wider collaboration.
Nottingham Health China is our initiative to engage with the Health Agenda in China. It includes our Evidence Based Healthcare Centre recently opened in Ningbo, mental health collaborations in Shanghai, nursing and midwifery joint work with organisations in both Ningbo and Beijing and a whole range of health related projects. This has now been brought together under the Health China Initiative. We are working together with our Chinese partners in collaborative research, policy dialogue, continuing professional development provision and exchange of staff.
We have been very warmly received on a number of visits in Ningbo and across China. We have hosted our Chinese partners at Nottingham and the areas of collaboration continue to grow. This has put us in the position to jointly apply for national funding and has led to an exciting range of events through 2016/17.
Recent Health delegation to Ningbo with local clinicians. We were really looked after during our visit.
We welcome collaborators in this area, so please feel free to get in touch.
