Cupcakes and Canapés, oh my! The Award’s Celebration Event 2014-2015
On 9 June 2015, we celebrated students’ achievements at this year’s Celebration Event! Held in the Great Hall on University Park, we welcomed students who have completed the Award as well as recognised the students who have achieved employer-supported prizes.
From 3pm students, employers, module convenors and staff of the Careers and Employability Service networked while enjoying refreshments, canapés and cupcakes!
At 3.30pm, the event was in fully swing, hosted by Stephen Dudderidge, Director of Student Operations and Support. First up, Amy Sugarman (BA Music, 2014) inspired this year’s award completers and shared her story of her year after graduating from the University.
Once the Module of the Year 2014-2015 had been awarded to the convenors for the Boots Commercial Enterprise module, students were invited up to the stage to receive their completion certificates from Professor Sarah Speight, Academic Director of the Nottingham Advantage Award.

It was then time to present the highly commended and winners of the employer-supported prizes. Our employer partners, including Teach First, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Experian, EY, BT, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Accenture awarded their prizes to the students after giving a short speech.
Over the next few weeks, we will be hearing from some of our prize winners to share their experiences on the Award.
