Modules in Pictures – a snapshot!
With spring term now complete, we thought we’d share our latest module photographs so that you can see what has been happening across different modules. You never know, this could inspire you to take one of these modules next year, if you still need to complete the Award!
The Award helps to enhance employability by improving a variety of skills used in the workplace, from teamwork, communication and presenting to stakeholders. Whether you are interested in business analysis, commercial awareness, PR or sports… we’ve got it all covered!
Within the Boots Commercial Enterprise module, the aim is to provide students with a snapshot of the three core commercial functions at Boots: buying, branding and marketing. Students taking this module have been working in groups throughout the module and here they are pitching their ideas in their final assessment:
Continuing with the theme of employer-led modules, the Capital One: Business Decision Making module is offered in the autumn and spring terms. With real life case studies and a focus on business analysis, this module will be a firm favourite for the analysts, aspiring strategic thinkers and mathematical minded amongst you!
Or perhaps you’re interested in going into a career in childcare, marketing, or fundraising?
These students were and completed the Save the Children Enterprise Scheme. Putting into practice the marketing principles they had learned in the classroom, they launched an awareness raising campaign to promote the charity and collect donations. We are quite sure a marching band across University Park campus with a giant teddy bear will have raised considerable awareness of the charity this year! What other ideas can you think of?
If sport is more your passion, there is the Sports Coaching and Leadership – The Nu2 Sports Schemes module. This module develops leadership skills, inclusivity awareness and the ability to organise activities to promote a healthy lifestyle. If you’d like some support in your career planning within your chosen industry and beyond, then there are a number of Career Skills and Employability modules up for grabs! Here, these science students are exploring their options and preparing for future applications and interviews, during their involvement in the Career Planning Skills for science students:
