Best restaurant deals to welcome the new decade!
What better way to kick off the decade than a wonderfully cheap meal out at any of these popular restaurant options around Nottingham. And with a while to go before a post-Christmas restorative pay-day, these restaurant deals will have you dining like a king!
Red’s True Barbecue on Queen Street is offering 50% off throughout the month with the small caveat of having to pre-book a table. But with their mouth-watering selection of meats, why would you not pre-book? Red’s is a student favourite across Nottingham and one of my personal favourites for when I’m craving some good old American classics. My tip? Try their burgers and consider sharing because their portions are HUGE. However, if you’re vegetarian, you might want to keep reading as their vegetarian options aren’t the best, in my opinion.
The Alchemist, fondly known for their wacky cocktails and swanky interiors, are also offering 50% off throughout January. Alchemist has been a favourite for birthdays and other events but with these prices, the joint on King Street is affordable as a more daily option. Having grown up in Dubai, I’ve always found it hard to source well-cooked halloumi but Alchemist hits it on the head with their halloumi burger. Their vegetarian Katsu curry is also to die for! You will definitely find my housemates and I in one of their beautiful booths this winter.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few weeks, you’ve probably heard the phrase ‘Veganuary’ being thrown around. If you’re brave enough to embark on the challenge, try Las Iguanas. This popular restaurant is trialling their new vegan menu with 2-for-1 offers on this month. This is perfect for you if you’ve considered cutting out dairy as a new year’s resolution but didn’t feel brave enough.
Even without these deals, Nottingham has many great restaurant deals across it’s many establishments and those of us who have been here a while will know that nothing beats our dining scene. Coming back to university after a Christmas break is never easy but hopefully these dining options will make it slightly less exhausting. Happy eating!
Until next time,
