Kayaking and long flights

This blog covers a couple of weeks over Easter period. On a personal note I took place in the Devizes to Westminster Kayak Race over Easter weekend. We got halfway (56 miles) and then the race was cancelled due to dangerously high flow on the Thames (picture shows the early stages on the gentle canal).

I visit the international campuses twice per year to help with collaborations. On this trip I’m lecturing at UNMC and in Tianjin before visiting Ningbo. Schools are doing a great job in supporting new and old partnerships in China and across South-East Asia. Good feedback from UNMC about the support all UK Schools are providing. Off to China over the weekend and then back in the UK in 5 days.

Tech Tip: TripIt

TripIt is an app on iphone and Android. It links to your Concur account so all flights and hotels show up as soon as they are booked. Easy access to booking numbers, flight times, hotel locations etc.
