Video Blog: UNMC’s thoughts on Project Transform

Project Transform has been working to develop a comprehensive online system for our students that can be used across all of our campuses, worldwide. Earlier this year we spent a few days on the Malaysia campus talking to staff and students. Both expressed considerable excitement about the venture, highlighting their expectations alongside aspects of the project that they were looking forward to seeing come to fruition.

The visit included an overview of the Project Transform solution and how it would be able to accommodate each aspect of the student journey. Colleagues on the Malaysia campus also had the chance to gain an enhanced understanding of the effects of the new system at each stage of its implementation.

In their feedback, one of the things that staff emphasised was the positive impact that this new system will have upon the communication and unity between the three campuses, and how this will improve interactions with students on each campus.

“The most exciting part is about changing how the system works together and having this one system that speaks to all three campuses rather than having three separate systems that don’t talk to each other.” – Salma Abd Kadir, Faculty Manager, Faculty of Science.

The positive impact that the system will have upon staff-student interactions was also highlighted as an attractive prospect.

Watch the video below to get to know some of the staff and students from the Malaysia campus and to hear their thoughts on Project Transform.
