From Visionary Words to a World Envisioned

World Educational Theme Parks Limited (WETP Ltd) are an ambitious start-up company looking to create educational theme parks where families and schools can learn about other cultures through sight, sound, touch and smell and in an interactive and fun way.

As for any entrepreneurial enterprise, investing seed funds effectively and efficiently in the initial pitch to investors was a major concern. So when it came to sourcing the design and production of a set of Concept drawings and a CGI 3D walkthrough/flythrough they turned to Postgraduate Placements Nottingham (PPN). PPN helped WETP Ltd recruit Licheng Zhang a postgraduate PhD in Architecture who was looking to gain additional experience for his professional portfolio.

After the placement project was completed Maxwell and Graham Morecroft, Managing Directors at WETP Ltd, told us:

“Licheng had the confidence to take our vision and our ideas and put them to paper in the form of a concept drawing of one of the parks. He was creative, enthusiastic and easily translated our verbal ideas into an accurate drawn representation. In addition Licheng already had his own equipment and software to use on the project which helped reduce costs.”

Paul Rice, Placement Delivery Manager at PPN said, “The work Licheng did for WETP Ltd has provided a solid foundation for their funding proposals and helps to provide a visible walk-through for potential investors.”

The company is now well on the way to securing its first funding round and examining crowd funding options to develop the first park.

Whether your business is a new enterprise like WETP Ltd, or an established business looking to develop, the Postgraduate Placement programme from the University of Nottingham provides a wealth of talent to work on strategic business projects.
