What’s On? – August 2014

Summer is rolling on and there is loads to keep you busy in Nottingham over the next month – we’ve picked out some highlights to share in today’s blog:

Event: The Nottingham Riviera
Date: Throughout August until 2nd September
Location: The Old Market Square, Nottingham
Information: Nottingham has brought the beach to the city centre for the summer – so pull up a deck chair and enjoy!

Event: Nottingham Life Cycle 4
Date: 31st August  
Location: University Park, Nottingham
Information: Get on your bike and help to raise money for children’s brain tumour research. Get more information on the website.

Event: Riverside Festival
Date: 1st – 3rd August
Location: Victoria Embankment
Information: Food and drink, music and activities a-plenty at this festival, including a fantastic firework display on Saturday night. More information is available on the website.

Event: Nottingham Food and Drink Festival
Date: 16th -17th August
Location: Wollaton Hall, 10am – 6pm

Event: Robin Hood Festival
Date: 4th -10th August
Location: Sherwood Forest Country Park
Information: Jousting, falconry, craft stalls, forest walks and medieval music will all be part of the 30th Robin Hood Festival this summer. Find more information online.

Event: Mela Weekender
Date: 30th – 31st August
Location: Trent Bridge, Victoria Embankment & New Art Exchange
Information: This year’s Mela Festival weekend stretches across 3 venues over 2 days, celebrating South Asian arts and culture through vibrant events and activities across Nottingham.  For more information visit the website.

Event: Segway Sundays
Date: 31st August
Location: Wollaton Park
