University Of Nottingham Lecturer Assigned Associate Editor for Leading Journal

The Journal of Horticultural Science and Biotechnology (JHSB), a leading peer-reviewed journal publishing high quality research in the field of horticulture, has recently assigned Dr Asgar Ali from the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus as an Associate Editor. Established in 1919, JHSB was the first journal to achieve global circulation and impact in the field of horticultural research and development.

To date, JHSB has published novel and innovative research on a broad range of topics that cover scientific research and the practice of horticulture of fruits, perennial crops, vegetables, woody species and ornamentals. It is currently recommended by ISHS for their publications on commercial, amenity and recreational horticulture. Innovative research from temperate and tropical countries describing original investigations are published by JHSB, which publishes review articles and original research papers.

As Dr Asgar Ali joins an Editorial Board of specialists from horticultural background, he brings in his share of expertise in postharvest biology of fruits and vegetables. The research team led by Dr Asgar Ali at the University of Nottingham has pioneered innovative techniques for extending the shelf life of perishable fruits and vegetables and maintaining their postharvest quality. A number of high quality publications in leading peer-reviewed journals have been produced from their on-going scientific studies.
