Happy New Year: Ring in the Changes

As we say goodbye to 2012 and welcome in 2013, the University is also undergoing significant change today.

Our new Chancellor (Sir Andrew Witty) assumes his new role today. You can read a little more about him on the From the Vice Chancellor’s desk blog. I was fortunate enough to meet him briefly when I attended the launch of the Shanghai Nottingham Advanced Academy. From the brief conversation I had with him I am confident that he will be a valuable asset to the University.

And I guess that it cannot have escaped your notice that Professor Christine Ennew takes over from Professor Ian Pashby as our new CEO and Provost today.

I am sure you will join me in wishing both Sir Andrew and Chris good fortune in the new roles, as well as wishing Ian well in his new role at the University of Hull.
