We are looking for students, staff, graduates and early career researchers from across the University of Nottingham to come together and discover problems worth solving, and offer you the tools to create scalable sustainable solutions.
Today we spoke to Proodle about how they’re revolutionising University enrollment.
Working in marketing and communications for UK higher education institutions is both rewarding and challenging, not only they are looking for students (Generation-Z) who are the right fit to their institution but also dealing with lots of information. Universities currently lose up to 70% of student applicants and find it challenging to convert Generation-Z students and move the right students from enquiry through enrolment.
Being digital natives, these students want to make their decisions for their choice to institutions with better digital and engagement identity. They want to be in complete control of their experience, and currently, no platform allows them to connect to their dream university in a comfortable and noncommittal way.
At Proodle, we have built Generation-Z digital products for Institutions which understands these students as individuals with distinct needs and expectation, this allows us to enable institutions to deliver personalised information and interactions at each stage of their enrollment decision journey.
Built on top of this solid foundation, is a series of powerful and flexible modules that ensures each prospective student receives the right message at the right time when they move through the funnel. With the use of state-of-the-art technologies, we bring all information into one platform and offer rich data to streamline their recruitment process cost-effectively and present significant opportunities to increase their revenue.
Proodle Solutions Limited license the Proodle Software to universities on an annual recurring basis and subscription model. We have successfully validated the value creation and growth hypothesis of our new product with a vision to build a sustainable business. We are currently targeting a pilot launch by December 2018 with 3 UK institutions for their next student recruitment intake. In 2019 Proodle Solutions will aim to have an additional 14 clients and in 2020, 35 clients will join the Proodle platform making it a total of 52 institutions in the UK, Ireland, Europe, Australia and India with an average ARR of £25,000. Proodle Solutions also has plans to add additional revenue streams (up-selling and cross-selling) as the client numbers and service users grow.
Winning the Asia Business Award and Enterprise Award at the Ingenuity18 competition was a very powerful affirmation and acknowledgement towards building a one-of-a-kind platform. The credibility of the award has had a positive impact on building a credible team of specialist to work with Proodle Solutions. The cash prizes received, helped us to be able to develop our product and validate our hypothesis. The publicity that the award generated for Proodle Solutions has enabled us to position our brand in the market and drive opportunities with ease.
Entrepreneurship requires a strong vision for the future and an appetite for taking risks. When starting a tech business, we must identify which parts of our plans are based on assumptions, quickly figure out a way to put them on test through rapid prototyping and test with real users until they are ready to pay for the service with a goal to build a sustainable business around it.
