“It has been my privilege to be involved in the last 3 Pitch@Palace competitions and it was fantastic to see how well our University of Nottingham student and alumni entrepreneurs performed.
If you have a business that would benefit from showcasing to the highest profile investor and mentor network in the UK then go for it!”
With many University of Nottingham students and alumni standing at the forefront of technological innovation and research, getting involved is the ideal opportunity to showcase the entrepreneurial spirit success at the University.
So what does Pitch@Palace 6.0 involve?
There are three main stages to the competition, starting with the Pitch@Palace on Tour events, which will be running from 20th September to 4th October in Sheffield, Belfast and Cornwall. During this tour, entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to connect with local stakeholders and receive mentoring.
At each Pitch@Palace on Tour, three entrepreneurs will be selected to attend the Pitch@Palace Boot Camp, which is taking place on Friday 14th October. This event will provide the selected entrepreneurs a chance to hear from leading industry experts and Pitch@Palace alumni. A panel of expert judges will select up to 15 Entrepreneurs to pitch at St James’s Palace on 2nd November 2016.
The lucky entrepreneurs will pitch to an invited audience of investors, mentors and business leaders. The remainder of the 42 businesses selected from Boot Camp will also attend St James’s Palace to network, as well as compete for the People’s Choice Award, a public vote hosted on the Pitch@Palace website.
Pitch@Palace People’s Choice Award
This award is an opportunity to showcase all 42 Entrepreneurs participating in the competition who went to the Bootcamp. Each Entrepreneur competes for this award through a dedicated website page where the public can take a look at each of the Bootcamp pitch videos and vote for their favourite Entrepreneur. The winner of the People’s Choice Award vote is announced at the main Pitch@Palace event at St. James’s Palace.
