By Katy Johnson, Marketing and Communications Officer

On MyNottingham, you’ll find all you need to know about the Graduate Jobs Fair –  one of our biggest events of the year. It takes place on Monday, 10 June 2019 between 11:30am and 3:30pm at East Midlands Conference Centre, University Park.

The Graduate Jobs Fair is an excellent opportunity for you to meet employers with vacancies to fill and boost your skill set through our workshops and CV reviews. Find out which employers will be on-campus and the jobs they are advertising using the Careers Fairs tile on MyNottingham.

1. Careers fairs tile on MyNottingham

In the Careers Fair tile, you’ll find a list of the employers signed up to the fair. Check back regularly as more employers sign up before the event. Get familiar with the app and our tile now and you’ll be all set for next year’s fairs too.

2. Vacancies for students from ALL subjects

At our fair, the employers attending are interested in students from a wide variety of disciplines across a number of job roles. For example, Mars will be recruiting students from all subjects for roles in R&D, engineering, procurement, finance, marketing, sales, HR, logistics and operations. If you’re not sure yet which path you would like to take after university; the fair is a useful opportunity to speak to employers about different specialisms and what they look for in applicants.

3. Explore new employers

If you see an employer on our app that you don’t instantly recognise, don’t scroll on without finding out more. Expand your horizons – find out more about the company and the job roles on offer and you may just find the right fit for you.

4. Get the basics on the app but find out more

As well as the basics about the company, the subjects they are looking for and roles on offer, you will also find out about their recruitment process, placement opportunities, if they sponsor visas for international students and much more. Check out their website, LinkedIn company profile and Twitter account to get a real flavour of the company and then if you have questions, you can ask them at the fair. Not sure how to open up the conversation, check out Ask Us About.

5. Enhance your job-hunting skills

Not only will you be able to speak to employers at our fair, but you’ll also be able to attend workshops to improve your job-hunting skills. You can sign up onto these workshops on the day of the fair. Check out when and where they are taking place on the app. Why not have a one-to-one appointment with an adviser to review your CV? These appointments are also bookable on the day.

Not downloaded the app? What are you waiting for? If you would like some help preparing for the Graduate Jobs Fair, talk to a member of our team.
