Nottingham in India
Exciting times with Nottingham in India. Leading up to my trip to Chandigarh as part of a wider Nottingham mission next week, I participated in the Nottingham Round Table at the High Commission of India on Friday 17 July. We were generously hosted by the Deputy High Commissioner, Dr Virander Paul. Dr Paul led a discussion with a highly experienced and knowledgeable group including Dame Asha Khemka, centred around the ‘The Make in India- New India, New Dream’ campaign. The Campaign highlighted India’s strategic direction in High Speed Rail, Industrial Corridors, Smart Cities, Marine/Ship Building and Skilled India.
Mr. P. K. Sahu Attaché (Commerce), whom the University know well, kindly gave me a briefing on the High Commission building and the fantastic Gandhi Hall and Nehru Hall in which our meeting and reception took place.
Nottingham is developing a powerful offer in India and I am hugely excited about the coming week.
