Two upcoming talks …

… organized by Nottingham’s Classics Research Workshop in conjunction with the Centre for Ancient Drama and its Reception (CADRE).  Both will be held on Tuesdays at 5 pm in room A3 (unless otherwise notified – any change will be posted on this blog), Humanities Building, University of Nottingham.

October 8 – Johanna Hanink (Brown University) will make her second visit to Nottingham in successive years (after the 2012 Menander conference) to speak on Euripides and the Myths of the Funeral Oration.

October 22 – Peter Meineck (New York University) – translator, director, founder of the New York-based Aquila Theatre and of the Ancient Greeks/Modern Lives outreach programme, and Honorary Professor of Classics in the University of Nottingham – will speak on The Tragic Paradox:  A Cognitive Perspective.

Everybody is welcome at both events.
