22 December 2016 – what’s the story behind door number 22?

The 2016 election: A seismic shift to the right.

The day after the result of the American presidential election, Christopher Phelps, Associate Professor of American History in the Department of American and Canadian Studies, blogged about the extraordinary outcome of the 2016 race to the White House.

The weeks running up to the election were closely monitored by Dr Phelps and Todd Landman, Professor of Political Science who produced a series of blogs and were interviewed extensively by the media seeking expert comment on what proved to be the most divisive and unpredictable presidential race in modern memory.

Who opened the door?

Our thanks to Todd Landman, Professor of Political Science and Pro-Vice-Chancellor with responsibility for the Faculty of Social Sciences, for using his magic to open door number 22.
