Now you’ve started, why you should finish

We hope you have found your time with the Award enjoyable so far. Now is the time to start applying for our autumn and full-year modules.

Of course any modules you have completed so far will appear on your degree transcript. However, here’s some reasons why you should keep going and push yourself to complete.

Simplified sign up

Practically all our modules now have an application form. No more downloading of Word documents and emailing them to convenors. We have also created a mini search engine so you can filter modules by term and category.

Simply find a module in our Workspace catalogue, click on the form link, fill it out and click ‘Submit’. Once submitted the convenor will contact you around a week after the deadline with the result.

Credits could mean prizes

To be eligible for our employer-supported prizes you need to have completed at least two Award modules by application deadline of 29 February 2020.

The prizes recognise your achievements in areas such as community engagement, personal development and leadership. Employers include Boots, Save the Children and Teach First.

More information can be found here. Applications open on 1 February 2020.

Celebrate your achievements

Not only do you receive a completion certificate, you will have it presented to you – and maybe even an employer prize – at our prestigious Celebration Event on Tuesday 9 June.

Here you can meet employers, module convenors, careers staff and fellow Award completers.  It brings everyone involved with the Award together to celebrate your achievements.

Enjoy the award ceremony atmosphere with drinks and canapés. You can be part of the 120+ students who can say ‘I was there’.

RSVP opens on 2 March 2020.

Use the Award to your Advantage

Now you’ve completed some Award modules you may be wondering how you can showcase what you’ve done to employers.

Our specialised workshop helps you identify the skills and experiences you’ve gained and practise how to articulate them in your CV and at interview. The more skills and experience you develop through completing the Award, the more you can get out of this session.

You can find this workshop and all our other activities on our events page here.

So why wait? Continue your journey and apply for your next module now.
