Graduation Congratulations!

Today marks the start of the summer graduation ceremonies here at the University, congratulations to all of our students who are graduating!

This year has been a big year for the Advantage Award, we started the year with just over 1,000 students taking part, a figure which now stands at 2,300. We’ve also recently had our 100th module approved – giving future students lots of choice when it comes to picking their 3 modules. We’ve come a long way since September 2008 when we enrolled our first student!

In the ceremonies to come nearly 700 students will graduate with at least one Advantage Award module on their transcript.

Students who are about to graduate with the full Advantage Award will see that their names are mentioned in the graduation handbook highlighting their achievement and commitment to personal and professional development.

Students who have completed one or two modules will still gain recognition as all Advantage Award modules students complete feature in section 6 of the diploma supplement.

We hope you’ve enjoyed your time at the University and will take the skills you’ve gained from the Award with you in your future careers.

The award enabled me to develop the key competencies and skills that employers are looking for and I could discuss these with employers in interviews. I have since successfully managed to secure a position on a graduate scheme!
